Amy Verder Plays the Victim... Again!!

We all had a good laugh when we saw the following post by Amy Verder.

It's not only typical of Amy to play the victim card like this, as she has done so many times in the past, but it's just downright crazy.

Take a look at her latest rant against her so called stalkers....

According to Amy Verder, her enemies are sending threatening emails to officials and vets about her. She claims that someone local is stalking her vet's office.

Hmm... why would anyone threaten these individuals? Are they responsible for Amy's crimes? There is no motive for anyone to threaten them.

It would not be surprising if officials and vets have been contacted by people with complaints about Amy. She's the one who operates without ethics or transparency. She's the one failing to rescue animals responsibly with her sham of a rescue, Let Them Live Rescue.

Amy seems to think she knows who is behind these alleged threats that she says are related to her. She will probably blame her usual targets who she alleges have some sort of vendetta against her. We know most of these individuals and they are all pretty outspoken and determined to speak out against Amy but they don't have a vendetta against her. They just want her to stop scamming and hurting animals.

No one working on our blog has reported her or complained about her recently to any officials or to any vets. We are aware that others have said they were going to make calls inquiring about dogs she rescued or said they were going to send emails complaining about her rescue but whether they did or not we do not know.

If there is any truth in these allegations, it could be anyone. This woman has a lot of enemies. They are all people that she has lied about, harassed, stalked and bullied online and done horrible things to. People that she wanted to silence because they knew the truth about her, her scams, and her rescue.

She wants us to believe that her life is in danger? That people have threatened her life? That she filed a request for an emergency protective order?

Seriously???

I think we've all heard these sorts of claims from Amy Verder many times in the past. This is nothing new. Just a different day and perhaps different people.

She has accused many people over the last several years of threatening her by phone, text, emails, and even by violating her property and killing her animals. Not once has she ever provided photos, police reports or any documentation to support these allegations.

Slandering people with such serious allegations and not providing proof is despicable. Good people have been hurt by her crap and it's way past time for her to "put up or shut up" as they say.

Amy Verder is a liar who is also very conniving and manipulative. She kind of reminds me of a cult leader whose blind followers believe anything she says, do anything she asks, and supports her despite the fact that it just makes no rational sense to do so.

Show us the proof Amy.

We dare you.

Irony. She accuses others of things that fit her to a tee.

"Psychopath" (sociopath) -> Amy Verder.

One who consistently makes threats against others -> Amy Verder.

People who "turn psycho" that you meet online -> Amy Verder.

People who "become the person of your nightmares" -> Amy Verder.

We agree with her about one thing.

We should all keep ourselves safe online.

Safe from people like Amy Verder who uses others as a means to end, over and over, until she can no longer fool them and then they become her enemies, "out to get her" and she gets to play the victim, again and again.

It's time to stop the insanity.

Prove it.

RU Blog Update

A lot of attention has been focused on our blog lately due to the recent post about Amy Verder on The Good, the Bad, the Unforgivable of Animal Rescue's blog and Amy's hateful attacks and lies that appeared to be a direct result of their post. We received additional information (re: other actions related to that blog post) today which further supports this theory.

There has also been a lot of drama that involves Susan Barrett and Michelle Shaw this past week that appears to be related to this. We have no comment about this for now but, in case anyone was wondering, Susan Barrett has no involvement with our blog and we would never support her, no matter if we shared a common goal or not.

For better or worse, we've been the one site that has consistently attempted to expose the truth about Let Them Live Rescue. They are not the only bad rescuers that are hurting animals, but they are definitely one of the very worst. There are much larger rescues that are doing the same sort of things on a larger scale (namely more money is involved) but because we know that Amy Verder is also a very disturbed person who can't even tell the truth about her own life (or about anything) we know she is a danger to both animals and to people. Her track record with others and with how she operates her rescue confirms that we are correct.

As we stated on an earlier post recently, we've been asked to post a lot of information re: Amy Verder and Let Them Live Rescue. Much of this info is not new to some of us who have been investigating LTL for years but the general public is largely unaware. We have agreed to publish everything that we can verify and which we have supporting evidence for. It is going to take some time as we have jobs and other responsibilities but we will create new posts as quickly as we can. We want all of you reading this blog to at least have all of the facts and documentation that we can provide so that you can make an informed decision for yourself about Amy Verder and Let Them Live Rescue.

To help make the blog more user friendly and interactive, we have added a Contact Us form to the site. I tested it earlier and it worked well. This is the best way for people to contact us if they have information to share or wish to talk to us privately. We may try out other contact forms later but this is an important option, especially since more people are coming forward and wanting to share their horror stories about Let Them Live Rescue.

We welcome constructive comments and suggestions, whether it's about our blog or a particular post, and we do moderate the comments but we try to be fair when deciding whether or not to publish them. If you have something to say that is beneficial to the topic (whether we agree with you or not), then we will publish your comment. However, if it is a personal attack, it includes info we know is false, or is threatening then we will not post it.

We are very glad we have the audience that we have and that people care enough to read our posts. Thank you for your support and even if you hate us, we still thank you for tuning in. :)

I think this is a good opportunity to ask everyone a couple of questions. We would really like to know what your thoughts are. Please answer in the comments below if you don't mind.

What do you think makes a rescue a good rescue? What criteria do you use to evaluate whether they are responsible and worth supporting?

What are the red flags that you look for to determine if a rescue is not responsible or what you would consider to be a bad rescue?

What are your opinions about Let Them Live Rescue, Amy Verder or LeAndra Verder?

Amy & LeAndra Verder: Busted in Another Huge Lie - Sweeney (Cody) was Never a Michael Vick Dog!!

Here is the real story of a dog named Cody, who later became known as Sweeney Todd (or Sweeney for short).

In 2010, Cody, a pit bull (or pit bull mix), who was very underweight and heart worm positive, was in the Chesterfield, SC shelter and he was in need of rescue. His prior history is unknown so we don't know what kind of life he had prior to this, other than he was neglected, or perhaps homeless, before he entered the shelter.

Cody 2010, in the Chesterfield, SC shelter

Amy Verder (who not long afterward founded Let Them Live Rescue) and her daughter LeAndra Verder, somehow became aware of Cody and offered to foster him. The group Where Hope Lives (also known as Paws N Claws then) facilitated this and Cody was brought to the Verder household as a foster dog.

According to Amy at the time, there was an issue between Amy and the two ladies of Where Hope Lives regarding Cody's heart worm treatment and allegedly they could not agree on a treatment plan and the cost was a factor as well.
It seemed that they could not work it out peacefully and Amy vowed that she would not return Cody to Where Hope Lives. So she and LeAndra decided that LeAndra would adopt him. We don't know how much truth there was in Amy's version of this but this is what she stated to others for what it's worth.

LeAndra adopted Cody and renamed him "Sweeney Todd" and he became a member of their family. The Verders claimed that he had serious dental issues and that his heart worm disease was stage 4 and it was so bad that he had congestive heart failure as a result, which caused him to have problems breathing. Supposedly he later received treatment for these conditions.

A witness who met him during this time stated that "Sweeney was a good dog. He seemed to be pretty healthy, he was a normal weight, he was very active, and there was no evidence that he had ever been abused. There also were not any visible scars that indicated he may have been used for dog fighting." (This will become relevant in a moment).

Fast forward to 2012.

LeAndra is spotted publicly stating that Sweeney had been one of the dogs that belonged to Michael Vick (who as we all know is notorious for his dog fighting operation that was exposed and shut down a few years prior to this).

4/26/2012
4/26/2012

Others promoted this ridiculous propaganda as well.

Not surprising that Manda Cowherd did so since Manda is a huge supporter of Amy Verder, Let Them Live Rescue, and other bad rescues such as Miranda's Rescue (California).

A search revealed that LeAndra had posted on a horse forum that Sweeney had been "part of a fighting ring" before they "rescued him out of Georgia" back on 12/31/2010.

Sweeney seems to have become their rescue's "poster dog" with his photos prominent on both their website and Facebook page.

But Sweeney was adopted before Let Them Live Rescue was even created.

Sweeney was never one of Michael Vick's dogs, there's no evidence he was ever used for dog fighting, and he was adopted, not rescued.

False advertising to say the least.

When they created this fabricated story, Amy Verder wanted to present herself as being some sort of dog trainer for aggressive dogs. She did not get professional training for this. She did not even get informal training for this as far as we can tell.

Amy and LeAndra concocted this story in a pathetic attempt to gain credibility, and most likely it was to boost their image, the one they want you to believe is true. For Amy, it was to appear to be more of an "expert" and of course the Michael Vick dogs are famous. She wanted some of that attention for herself.

Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. It does not mean they are qualified to train dogs with aggression issues. However, most people don't go around creating outrageous stories to lend themselves false credibility.

But this is exactly what the Let Them Live Rescue women have done.

It was seriously stupid to make such a claim when the Michael Vick dogs have been highly publicized. As usual, they make unbelievable claims and never produce a shred of evidence to substantiate them.

Amy and LeAndra Verder, I will put this in words I know you can understand...

EPIC FAIL.

The REAL Michael Vick dogs are survivors of one of the worst kinds of cruelty that human beings inflict upon dogs. We dedicate this post to them.

Amy Verder (Let Them Live Rescue) Uses 3 Tier Sex Offender Veterinarian

The other day, Amy Verder, the founder of Let Them Live Rescue, posted this plea for money for puppies that she stated had parvo. There's nothing unusual about that (she makes similar pleas like this quite frequently), except for the fact that she posted a vet's phone number that no one recognized.

Posted by Amy Verder on 10/16/13, screen shot courtesy of the Good, the Bad, the Unforgivable of Animal Rescue page.

A simple search of this phone number brought up an abundance of highly disturbing information about this veterinarian. The vet, Dr. Bruce Langlois, is a three tier registered sex offender, for life, in Michigan. As disturbing as that is, that is not what I find to be the most distressing and upsetting information about him.

The most shocking things that were uncovered involved his record with animals. Animals have surely suffered immensely thanks to this horrific person. The photos of one poor dog's spay incision were especially upsetting to me, as were the horror stories that are posted by loving pet owners whose animals were subjected to the cruelty of this man. He also concocted some sort of drug that was never approved or licensed for veterinary use and he used this on many of his patients, without the knowledge or consent of their owners.

He has also created a non-profit spay neuter organization. His statements about how quickly he can perform these surgeries and some of his practices during surgery are very alarming

Dr. Langlois has obviously been in trouble with the law and he has also been reprimanded by the Michigan Board of Veterinary Medicine, including having his license to practice veterinary medicine suspended at one point.

It's my understanding that these puppies were or are being fostered in Michigan. When I found out about this the day she posted the vet's phone number, I was blown away at the utter stupidity of Amy Verder for choosing this particular vet. A very brief search would have revealed that this is a vet no one in their right mind would trust within a mile of their pets.

This proves yet again that Amy has no real regard for the welfare of her rescued animals. If she did, she would not place them in harm's way. She would be diligent about their care and safety every step of the way.

Animals are nothing more than dollar signs to Amy Verder. A source of income and a way for her for feed her narcissistic need for attention.

Bottom line, all that matters to her is herself.

10/21/13 We were just made aware that there is a Facebook page, Spay Neuter Express Complaints, that was created to report the stories of people whose pets suffered because of Dr. Langlois and his Spay Neuter Express organization. There is one there by Bridgett Jewell that is very heartbreaking. The page also alleges that the Humane Society of Midland County is using this organization to spay and neuter their animals. We have not verified if that allegation is accurate yet but if it is true, that is also highly disturbing.

Let Them Live Rescue/Amy Verder - Yet Another Attempt to Steal from Animals

New Hope Pet Rescue in Michigan has recently issued a statement (10/6/13) about their negative experience with Amy Verder and Let Them Live Rescue. Denise Rose, the founder, posted it as a Ripoff Report titled "Let Them Live Rescue Amy Verder Sponsorship Money Never Sent Taylorsville Kentucky."

According to their report, Amy promised them a large sum of money if they would take 12 dogs from her that were supposed to be fully vetted. However, Amy never produced any paperwork that indicated they had been vetted. Amy agreed to pay them $2,000 once the dogs were safely in the care of New Hope Pet Rescue and then another $2,500 at some point afterward. Amy told her that she had a sponsor who was donating this money to help get the dogs safe and their needs taken care of. This was over a month ago and according to this report, Amy still has not paid any of this money to them.

The rescue is threatening to sue her and we hope that she does just that. It's about time that someone hold her accountable for the underhanded things that she does under the Let Them Live Rescue name. Animals deserve better from their rescuers and people should not be taken advantage of either.

This report been attracting a lot of attention as well as some vile posts that Amy has posted recently as well. I anticipate more comments will be added to the report due to this so please be sure to check the link often for new ones.

Note the comments on this post go in reverse order of when they were posted.

We have had several recent requests to publish a lot of information here, which we will get posted as soon as we can. Much of it is not new information but it hasn't been shared in such a public way before. Amy obviously has an unhealthy need for attention. We are happy to oblige and help put her name in headlights. Please stay tuned.
